Ordinary Life

'Encyclopaedia of an Ordinary Life' by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
I cannot find this darn book anywhere in Australia it seems.... certainly no online search has been successful! Darn it. I got wind of it through reading about it on Cathy Zielske's bit on CK (at least I think that's where I found it!!); anyway, it intrigues me and each time I see the pic of it, I so want to pick it up and read it!! Maybe one day, when I'm rich and can afford to have things mailed from the U.S, I will appreciate the read all the more!
In the meantime, aside from my current scrapping 'bibles'--Clean & Simple (Cathy Zielske) and A Designer's Eye (Ali Edwards)-- I got some books from the library, ones I've been meaning to read: Snow falling on Cedars by David Guterson; The Street Lawyer by John Grisham and Paperback Raita by William Rhode. Should keep me out of mischief for a few more weeks til my books arrive from the UK!!
I can't wait to clap eyes on my cookery books(though using the recipes is limited by my family's reluctance to try different radical dishes at times as well as my tendency to be reluctant to waste money on foods that will also be wasted!!). For me, though, just looking through them, inspires me.
I also can't wait for my inspirational books which help me to focus, get real and try to be a 'good' person, like The Virtues Project; my Dalai Lama 'Daily Meditations' book and Daniel Coleman ones too. As well as my Becky Higgins Sketch Book,CK Ideas Book, Quick & Easy Pages and the rest I probably shouldn't have!!
Ah well, I've been catching up on blogs and other sites I've not been on for a while, or just 'found', and I could be using the time-whilst DH is golfing and the kids are watching a film!- rather than sitting here and then regretting the interruptions I will no doubt get later on when I get round to some scrapping!!
In the meantime, I've been asked to 'act up' in a-slightly more!- senior role at work and, in a few weeks, work at a different site-2days a week for a couple of months; strewth, things change all the time! For me, it's a good experience and way to learn more about the Aussie system and to meet new colleagues/future friends.....who knows!?
It's all good.
All will be well.
All is well.
PS. Crikey, I can't find the Rhonna Farrer Clear stamps either on the sites here......soooooo want to get those swirls, scrolls, birds and beautiful thangs going on in my scrapping!!
