Wildlife

........no, not the children!
Went to Cleland Wildlife Park today and, apart from DS1 being a bit of a pain(I blame the Cocopops sent from Nanny-it's the only thing he's different lately and he's lost some of his 'common sense')
Anyway, I digress. Had a lovely time, spent a good 3 hours there and fed kangaroos, ducks-not emus, they were too far away and kept walking further from us!!- wallabies (in our family, usually known as 'wobbolies' because DS2 couldn't say it a few months back!!). Saw koalas, bettongs, all sorts of birdlife, turtles, echidnas, lizards, dragons, bats, dingoes, wombats......fascinating place. I bought the obligatory tacky/kitsch p/card to send to my mate Karen in Uk!
Of course, life's not perfect.
Still feel like a slave and at everyone's beck-and-call; no-one ever seems to think to ask what I might like to do/buy/see. Seems OK for DH to announce that he's going fishing with the lads on Sat; that leaves me getting woken up at 0430 by his damned snooze alarm and then not getting back to sleep. Then I have til 730pm to look after the kids and include 5 hours ironing, the laundry, washing & tidying, cooking, playing with the kids. Up at 0730 this a.m as kids were up: washed up twice already, once before the trip and then after Sunday dinner.
Now, the kids have taken advantage of me having some 'Me-time' by spreading and wasting a load of damned bubbles & water in the bathroom. 'Course, DH is asleep after dinner under the pretext of watching a film. No, life is far from perfect or at least as I would want it be.
