On leave....

Yup, just about came up and whacked me on the neck it did! I actually went into work on Thurs when it was s'posed to be my 1st of 2 PDOs(paid day Off!!) What a berk I felt!
Hey ho. It's all good and I was GRATEFUL that I did go in as I had loads of stuff to do that would've left things in even more of a mess than I've left them in!
Still, good week. got my lovely chocolate brown linen Princess line dress. Gorgeous. Ordered a black one as well!! Felt good in it and even got a coupla wolf-whistles!!
So, I'm getting myself into that 'frunky' mode: free and funky. I.E Not fretting too much about what folk think. Accessing my boho-chic/hippy leanings. Have even got the frunky glasses now- DH calls 'em my 'Joe90' specs but, what does he know?
Went to see "Happy Feet" yesterday- on my PDO!!!- and it was great. Kids were really good as well.
Today, I had a mini-meltdown: done 5 loads of laundry, drying, sorting, bed-changing etc. I went out for 45 mins and got some snide remark from Andy then, when I'd folded towels and linen a la Anthea Turner's 'Perfect Housewife' hints, they were upturned all over the floor!!! I was LIVID!! I certainly did not feel GRATEFUL for AT's tips then, I can tell ya!!!
Threw a load of the kids clothes around their rooms; explained that, when they undo the work I've done to contribute to them having clean stuff etc, it makes me feel incredibly sad to have it messed up that way. DH? Just sat on his arse watching some history Channel prog. Then told me I was 'mad' when he finally ambled upstairs to see what the commotion was upstairs (i.e when the kids discovered the mess in their rooms!!)Needless to say, I'm on an unofficial 'sent him to Coventry' protest though he'll never ask why, just carry on as if it's all my fault and no business of his to get involved in the darned housework and somewhere along the line it'll be because "...you've been too busy scrapping...".......If he so much as dares to say that, seeing as I've not done anything since last Sunday.
I suppose, though, that I will, once again, talk myself into believing/'realizing'that-somehow- it's my fault that I get so upset that I'm working 40+ hours a week, up at 0630hrs daily, come home , do h'work and yet DH is the 1 who gets the lay-ins at w/ends,little housework(washes up & cooks),goes out when he wants-without children being required to go and without time limits and/or snide remarks on return!!- on top of which he wants 'marital relations'.......I am being such a darned mug here. I don't ask for much and maybe I will start to do that.
Otherwise, I'm GRATEFUL...................?????????????????????????
