'Racked off'

All because I listened to one of the bosses and didn't get it in writing. I've written-in July 06- and emailed -in Oct 06- to sort out getting permanency. Had a reply from my email saying he'd pass it to his assistant to deal with as he was going recruiting overseas!! Nothing heard.
When I emailed the other day, he says they don't get involved!! Also claims not to have seen anything I sent!!(Even tho' he replied to me? Or was it him?....)and that I have to apply for the visa independently!! That's going to cost the best part of $10000, take the kids out of school, find cover for work etc all to come back in to continue-only slightly differently- from before we would leave!!
Also, what are they promising others who will be coming over? And where's the information and support for those coming over? At least he's said that I'll be given written support letters re job etc and, don't forget, I'm obliged to work out my contract with them. That's another thing, my work contract finishes Jan 08 but my visa finishes Nov 07....how can I work after then? That would be illegal and I am not in the habit of doing illegal! Then, I'd be in breach of my contract-that is not my way of doing things.
I'm looking to other routes and people- based on their (far easier!!)experiences of this. Plus I know it's not just me who has been led to believe that it's easy; it's been said to a colleague and her friend. So, maybe I'm feeling a little stressed but it's almost like a 'conspiracy' against me!!
How bizarre all this is!!
Hopefully it will work out OK. I hope so.
Meanwhile I shall be grateful for my family, life and work. This is, perhaps, a way of teaching me to be grateful. My word of the year.
Jump, and the net will appear?
I do hope so.
