One month...

...of not doing housework (MIL has been here and ironed everything in sight!!) has made me feel very lazy! I now have a 3 day break to 'get back in the swing' of working at work then working at home. Oh well, perhaps I will enJOY this process and appreciate it alot more rather than feeling lacklustre and resentful about it. It's a strange, almost unsettling feeling when another woman does what you'd normally do; I'm not territorial but I did feel a bit of that 'it doesn't feel like my home'. But that was my reaction and how I chose to react. After the 1st few days I realize I should just- as Ali E would say!- 'Go with the flow'.
'Course the kids are upset that Nanny has gone because they now feel we're the worst parents for not stuffing them with chocolate, pancakes, biscuits and cakes all day!! Tricky one to play and balance out so that everyone's wishes are included yet not have to compromise too much on teaching the 'right' and reasonable limits to our 7 and 8 year olds!! I certainly don't want to raise children who are ungrateful and have an 'entitlement' attitude.
Still, we will settle back down into the JOY of everyday life which includes me being able to do more scrapbooking and even get on with the creative A-Z journal I was supposed to start on the 5th Jan!!
enJoy. EnJoY. enJOY. JOY. JOY.
