Weeeeell, what can I say?!
I feel so relieved about the windfall that it's put a whole new slant on things. Dreadful really that it should be money-orientated but I am feeling far more relaxed and less worried. I now feel as if this is the life I was meant to live as I'm actually going to be earning what I should be earning and that the windfall was also like a really hard way to save up!!! I have stressed to DH that we're not going to just blow it but spend it wisely on things like school fees and stuff for Christmas(our deccies never made it over here)
DH told me that when he'd mentioned to DD that he'd been looking at Christmas trees(a couple of weeks ago), her little face lit up saying, "Aaww, wow, Dad, can we really have a tree this year?! Made him fill up. I mean, last year all we had was the cards we brought with us pegged up on string, a long bit of tinsel around the bannister and a string of lights that trailed all round the house. Should be a different scenario this year.....I've seen some great decs I love in a cheapie shop- the sort that are 'country christmas'-like and I won't feel guilty about buying them at all!! Besides, they'll last a while anyways. Not like they'll just be for one year. Good 'investment'!! Y'know, signs that say 'Santa Stop Here' and a lovely wreath for the door.
I could even buy some stuff that we weren't going to get 'cos of having to 'tighten the belt'!! Woo hoo! Man, do I feel happy.
I'm off to the SB Station tomorrow lunch to check out what I'm going to treat my stash supply to and check out the cheapie place for a laptop, get some ink cartridges for the printer(not had any ink for 3 months!!!!!) and order some B&W prints from Harvey Norman!! All ready for the Harry Potter CyberCrop in a coupla weeks time......can't wait!!
And I'm going to order me some lenses!!
Kirsty & Scott's wedding was really nice......on the beach square etc, meal overlooking hte sea then a fantastic thunder & lightening storm over the ocean.....amazing!!
Life's good.
It's all good.
All is well.
