UKS Tuesday Blog Prompt

.......was asking about history/mystery in families etc
Well, the only thing I want to know more about really was when my Granddad H used to play the piano and organ for various folk. Rumour has it he played for well-known folk,like Frankie Valli, Vaughn and the like! Wonder if that were true? Engelbert Humperdinck was also mentioned years ago as a familiar name to my Granddad. My Granddad D used to be a lamplighter- before the days of street-lights as we know 'em; I wonder what that must have been like as well.
In the late Victorian times there was a rumour about one of the females scooting off to the U.S and experiencing some ne'er-do-well life (illicit substances an' all apparently!!!) Perhaps that's where I've developed some slight rebellious traits from?
Who knows?
On the whole, not a mysteriously, amazingly, dark, deep-secret kinda family but, if I could afford all the fees to join these genealogy sites, I'd certainly go for a deeper delve!!
Certainly makes me wonder what stock I was bred from and, if I were living in those times, what would my life have looked like? Would I be happier or sadder than I am now? Would I be better/worse off than I am now? Would I be in the U.S living an ill-fated life?
Makes me feel very grateful for where I am in my life and who, more importantly, I have in my life...though I may not always have the right mind-set to appreciate it, especially after a day like today!! (Long story: involves DD stealing again and loads of confusing/conflicting info at work!!)
Really want the Pencil Lines blinkie to put on me blog....perhaps it will spur me to regain my 'mojo'!!!!
